Founder of Iron Sport Fitness: Rich DeAngelo

Rich De Angelo is the founder of Iron Sport Fitness. He is a graduate of Montclair State University with a B.S. in Exercise Science and a minor in Nutrition and Food Science, as well as getting his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist(CSCS) certification from the NSCA in September 2016. Rich plans on earning his Masters Degree in Exercise Science. He wants to make his mark as a world class Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Rich has always exemplified a great work ethic which he urges others to adopt. No matter what athletic field he was playing on he was always practicing to get the edge on his competition.  During his time at Fairleigh Dickinson University as a member of the Football team, Rich earned Offensive Rookie of the Year Honors, and was able to make starts at Right Guard and Nose Tackle his freshmen and Sophomore seasons. Rich currently trains as a competitive powerlifter, and entered into his first competition on May 18th, 2014 at the RPS South Jersey Rumble. Rich took first place in the 275lb weight class, as an amateur in the raw classic  junior division posting a 1,395lb total, and took home an additional first place trophy on January 24th, 2016 at the RPS North American and New Jersey Championship. 

Rich believes in combining the scientific theories and principles of training, recovery and nutrition into a practical and realistic approach that is flexible and can work for any client.

Specializes in programming for Powerlifting, General Hypertrophy(Muscle Gain), Fat Loss, and Sports Performance.

Rich has worked with athletes and clients of all levels including general adult population, youth athletes, high school athletes, college athletes and professional level athletes (NFL, USWNT, NWSL, CIF, etc).
